Europe Getaway is the brand new name for the successful tour operator Czech Travel, which was established in 1990.

Building upon our success and expertise in the Czech Republic we have expanded into another country in the Heart of Europe, Slovakia. Our portfolio includes resorts in the Tatra Mountains and Bratislava.

Number crunching on the slopes

Slovakia is poised to be the "hottest new ski destination in Europe". The country’s premium ski resort company Tatry Mountain Resorts has invested 33 million euros in new lifts, snowmaking that includes 100 snow cannon, 4 new piste bashers, new and wider slopes, 6 new apres ski areas and restaurants, 100 ski instructors, 4 modern kids areas and 1000 skiis and boots in 5 ski hire outlets.

All less than 50 minutes from Poprad international airport at Slovakia’s largest ski area, Jasna, in the Low Tatras, and just 20 minutes from the airport at Tatranska Lomnica and Smokovec in the High Tatras.

For non-skiers and apres ski, the Tatry Mountains have three aquaparks, including the world famous, award winning AquaCity Resort, with geothermal pools and spas, 2.6km of night sledging and two large shopping areas, in Poprad and Liptovský Mikuláš, and horse-riding, sledging and skating.

At prices around a third cheaper than mainstream European resorts, and with beautifully refurbished, high quality hotels, Slovakia is attractively priced, on and off the slopes.
